Kyoko has a PhD in Economics from the Yokohama City University, which she earned at the age of 27, making her one of the youngest PhD holders in the country. She is currently a lecturer at the Tokyo College of Transport Studies, as well as a part-time lecturer at Sophia University, Kanagawa University and Sagami Womens’ University.

She is a published researcher and previously was with the Institute of Transportation Economics, where she focused on the economical impact of existing and planned railway projects.

Kyoko brings high-level experience in the fields of micro-economics and data research to the BCV Team, not to mention a vast network in the higher-learning and transportation worlds.
