A junket is commonly known as a paid trip for high-rolling clients. Either the casino or junket operator will usually pay for all of the client’s travel, accommodations, food, drinks, and personal attendants. In return, the client is required to deposit a certain amount of money to be set aside for gambling, and also must spend a certain amount of time or amount gambling during the trip. The clients have access to VIP rooms and lounges, and generally are experienced casino players. Certain laws such as tax laws or laws on bringing funds outside of a country, make this kind of business difficult to arrange in many countries.
