This was an interesting experience. On the surface, I am very proud that we were able to gather an all-Japanese panel. We received quality media exposure in Japan, and it was a great chance for the local Japanese stakeholders to speak on a foreign stage. Unfortunately, there were no interpreting machines handed out to the audience or media, and we lost a lot of time due to translation of some of the speakers’ comments. (Huge disappointment considering some of the new takes we had in store.)
日本の遊技機産業がIRによりどのように影響が受けるか、そして公営競技の在り方に対する規制など、日本人だからこそ話せる内容があった。また、日本の歴史を理解するほどIR整備法の遅れもある程度理解できる部分があるので、その点は登壇者は触れられたと思う。
最終的にはNHKにも特集されたパネルとなり、日本人が海外に出る機会が出来たのは大変誇らしい事だった。次回に期待。
