Joji has extensive gaming industry experience with R&D, sales, marketing, casino floor strategy, government relations and regulatory compliance. Previously based in Macau with Aruze Gaming, he was in charge of operations in Asia and Europe until 2019. He has also worked closely with the North American land and online markets, the two major testing labs GLI and BMM, gaming media, government entites in Japan, and regulators worldwide.
After earning his degree in Educational Technology and Communications at the International Christian University in Tokyo, Joji started off as an event management and language service specialist for the entertainment and educational fields. He joined Aruze Gaming in 2013 and within 3 years was executing multi-million dollar deals in the Asian gaming market.
He most recently has co-founded SVS Gaming in the US, an iGaming company focusing on the regulated North American market, where he has also taken upon the role of president.
Currently based in Tokyo, Japan. Joji grew up in southern California during his childhood. Bay City Ventures represents the bay cities that have been a part of shaping his life. From Santa Monica and Dana Point in California, to Hong Kong and Yokohama, and even to that band singing about Saturday nights, Bay City rolls on.
